Strata9 assembles its own datasets from primary public sources: the Railroad Commission of Texas, the Oklahoma Corporation Commission and Tax Commission, the Louisiana Office of Conservation, the Arkansas Oil and Gas Commission and the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, together with pipeline geometry from the U.S. Energy Information Administration, county, parish, city and town boundaries from the U.S. Census Bureau, and geothermal gradient from the SMU Geothermal Laboratory. All of it is provided for informational purposes only. Locations are approximate: many older wells were spotted from historic maps rather than surveyed, and Strata9 shows the accuracy class the state assigned to each one. Strata9 does not report mineral ownership, and the absence of information here does not indicate the absence of a mineral estate. Nothing in this product is a title opinion or a substitute for an abstract of title or an attorney's opinion.
